Ship your hardware with a platform already attached

Buyers no longer purchase a charger; they purchase a working charging service. An OEM that ships hardware alone loses the customer relationship the moment a software vendor is chosen — and loses the recurring revenue with it. Attaching a white-label platform turns each unit into an account.

Charger manufacturer (OEM)

Does this sound familiar

Where you probably are right now

  • 01You manufacture or import AC and DC chargers with OCPP firmware.
  • 02Your buyers ask "what software runs it?" and you have no answer of your own.
  • 03You want recurring revenue, not just a one-time hardware margin.
  • 04Your support team is fielding software questions about units you sold.

What gets in the way

The problems, and what answers each one

Every answer links to the feature that does the work, so you can check the claim rather than take it.

01

Every buyer picks a different platform

Ship your own. A white-label tenant per buyer, under your brand, provisioned when the unit is sold — so the platform decision is already made in your favour.

02

Support calls about the software land on you anyway

With a platform you control, your support team can see the charger’s message log, pull diagnostics and push firmware instead of triangulating between the buyer and a third party.

03

Firmware rollout across the installed base

Update by model cohort with retry policy and a per-unit status trail, across every buyer who runs your hardware.

04

Commissioning quality varies by installer

Provision stations, connectors and default configuration through the API as part of your factory or dispatch process, so a unit arrives on site already configured and the installer’s job is electrical rather than digital.

What changes

What you can do that you could not before

  • A recurring software line attached to each unit sold
  • Field diagnostics on your own hardware, in your own console
  • A firmware channel to your entire installed base
  • Warranty claims backed by the unit’s own message history

Commercial shape

Wholesale platform pricing

You are reselling, not consuming. Wholesale rates with your own margin on top keep the model workable at hardware volumes.

Questions

What people in your position ask

Can each of our customers have their own isolated account?

Yes. Every buyer is a separate tenant with their own data, users, tariffs and payment credentials, under your brand.

Can we see across all of our customers’ deployments?

You can see the hardware — connection state, firmware version, fault history — across every tenant running your units, without seeing their commercial data. That boundary is deliberate: it is what makes buyers willing to run your platform.

What happens if a buyer wants to move to another platform?

They can, and their data goes with them. A lock-in that depends on trapping data does not survive a procurement review, and it is not the reason to ship a platform with your hardware.

Bring the specifics — the sites, the hardware, the constraints. That conversation is more useful than a demo.
